of NYTVRCC, good food, good prices. On the York road 5 mins past the racecourse.
-Another vote here, the whole family
went last Sunday for lunch. Good atmosphere and good food and handily,
just between York and Wetherby
-The Chequers Inn is superb. The food
is very good, price is very good and the atmosphere is welcoming and cosy.I
would highly recommend it, plus its out in the middle of nowhere so is
nice and quite.
-Many, many thanks from me and the
OH. Went to the Chequers for grub yesterday - absolutely fantastic. Food
was perfect, staff were great, and the atmosphere was perfect. Very reasonably
priced too.
Liked it so much we went back for a couple of lunch drinks on the way
home today... and it won't be the last time.

They have done a good job, with the Chequers
boasting a pleasant and cosy atmosphere. They are also clearly trying
to ensure they achieve the highest customer satisfaction, as we were handed
a questionnaire before we left asking what we thought of things such as
the speed of service and the food.
My overall verdict was that the Chequers
is triumphant proof that the village pub does have a future, and the punters
will come out to them - provided landlords are prepared to invest enough
in them, and provide good quality food, drink and service.

me and my husband went on valentines night and was kindly greeted at the
door by friendly members of staff,then taken to our table and was placed
with a good choice on menu.the meal was lovely and we wasnt rushed between
courses enabeling us to be ready for the next course. it was a frienly
welcoming place to eat and i will return again soon and also will reccomend
this to all my friends and anyone looking for a lovely place to eat.so
that leaves me to say thank you and see you again soon

forgetting the service at the triple birthday celebration on Wednesday
evening. I can assure you everyone was very impressed, and I am sure many

Have been and eaten here on several occasions. Fantastic food wine and
service. Have stayed overnight in their comfortable B and B with a fantastic
English breakfast in the morning. Everyone has always been extremely welcoming
and I would love this to be my local!
